Construction progress


Construction of the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm is well underway with the onshore element a new substation and onshore cable - complete and the offshore element of the work entering its final stages Those living along the Norfolk coast will continue to see vessels such as GM Endeavour and Sea Jack as they work to install the remainder of the 88 wind turbines.


The wind farm began generating electricity from its first turbine in July 2011 and it is expected to be fully operational by late summer 2012..


The turbines are now being installed on the Sheringham Shoal site

GM Endeavour installs the Siemens 3.6MW turbines at Sheringham Shoal.
