Ecoventures BV acquires additional shares in Scira
London, UK (2nd February 2007): It was announced today that Ecoventures BV(Ecoventures) has acquired the shareholding of Sea & Land Power and Energy Limited SLP Energy) in Scira Offshore Energy Limited (Scira). The share ownership of Scira is now 50% Ecoventures and 50% Norsk Hydro ASA (Hydro).
In addition, Bjørn Drangsholt (Hydro) has taken over the position of Project Director from Albert van der Hem (Ecoventures). Albert has now taken a position as one of the Directors ofScira.
Scira was established in 2004 to develop the 315 megawatt (MW) Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm, to be situated off the coast of north Norfolk in the east of England. Scira has submitted the planning application for this proposed project and could be, subject to consent, the first Round 2 wind farm to be built in the Greater Wash.
Dirk Berkhout, Director of Ecoventures BV stated: "Enlarging our stake in Scira is an important step forward in our objective to build up a portfolio of offshore wind and other renewable assets in Western Europe. Partnering with Hydro will provide a solid basis for further successful development of the Scira project."

David Edwards, Director of SLP Energy commented: “Hydro and Ecoventures, with active continuing support from SLP Energy, will provide Scira with a strong project team in order to finalise the development of the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm.”
The sale of the shares by SLP Energy will provide SLP with additional funding for further project development activities, both onshore and offshore.
