The offshore wind turbines will be connected via a network of marine cables linking to one or two offshore transformer stations
within the wind farm. From these, power will be exported via two 132kV marine cables reaching landfall close to the site of the
Muckleborough Collection Museum near Weybourne.

The route of these export cables was agreed with the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (DBERR)
and Marine and Fisheries Agency (MFA) as part of the wind farm’s licence conditions. Factors considered included engineering feasibility, seabed geological conditions, sediment movements and the location of sensitive marine organisms and their habitats.
