Welcome to Scira's 'Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm Animation
Tool'. This animation tool will allow you to familiarise yourself with the general operation of an offshore wind farm and will also provide you with a greater understanding of the effects of climatic
conditions on the generation of electricity from an offshore wind turbine.

Before downloading the animation tool onto your hard disk, please check the system requirements for compatibility and read through the download instructions.

This page also allows you to download the animation 'User Guide', which provides you with information on how to use the animation tool.

System requirements

• Pentium III 350 MHz or equivalent
• 64 MB RAM (128 MB recommended)
• Windows 98, Me, 2000 or XP
• DirectX 8.1 or higher
• DirectX 8 compatible 32 Mb 3D video card
• DirectX 8 compatible 3D-sound card
• 250/600 Mb free on your hard disk for the download/CD-ROM version, CD-ROM drive

Download instructions

• Click here to save the set-up file to disk (17 MB)
• Go to the location where you saved the setup file sim3D_2020.exe and start it
• Follow the instructions, select the suggested default options
• At the last step click 'Finish'
• Start Sim3D Scira by selecting the Sim3D_2 icon within the 'Programs' menu from the Start menu
